The Group Project (Egg Protecter)
As for the planning part in the project our group applied the following steps of the planning process: we defined and understand our goals as a group, we went through step two, we did step four and we had several alternatives for the egg protector and the one we choose was the best. What we did not spend enough time was step three where we didn’t do enough predictions and that led the protector to change pointing direction and the item dropped into the weakest part. Also number five we did not spend enough time too because I think number 3,5 are linked and as we did not predict the drop we did have the need to change our model. I think our team worked together through-out the entire session, but the problem is and always will be the time. We didn’t have enough time to complete the project our more to design our egg protector. The material that we were using was hard to form anything out of straws and paper tape. Overall I think we did a good job working as a team, even though our plan did not accomplish the goal.

I think that for my team time was not such a big issue because we were able to finish the project on time. And even if we had more time I do not think that we would make any significant alterations to it. I just wish we had an opportunity to test the construction before presenting it. On paper you may have the greatest ideas but you do not know whether they will work until you start implementing them.
ReplyDeleteAt least you know what steps your group bypassed. I think maybe follow the 5 steps in planning process would help a lot. Maybe it also can save time.
ReplyDeleteRightly said, we all did a good job ... we did not succeed but we did not fail either.
ReplyDeletei think our group had enough time, we succeeded in managing time but the strategy we opted did not work.... we chose may be wrong option or may be that's all we cud have done.
