I think all semester along I learned interesting material. My 3 biggest lessons I would say are : the decision making and people’s behavior during the decision making, the power of vision and that vision without action is just a dream, and the organization design and the different type of the organization designs with their pros and cons. I didn’t really used the book that much I mostly studied from Wiley Plus and the slides on blackboard, but one thing that I remember from the book is the 4 I’s which are: improve, invest, incubate, and imagine. I think mostly what I remember about things said in class is the stories that the professor told us about his career, and the class activities that we did before every lecture. I think the professor managed the class pretty well; he used different management techniques to increase the feedback and tried always to involve everyone in the discussion. Overall the one think that I will never forget it will be the egg activity, because it was our first exercise of the class and it really challenged us during the entire process including the planning process.
I personally had a great time in this class during the entire semester, and I thank the professor for all the effort he did to help us learn Management in the best way it exists. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!
Totally, prof Kurpis' stories about his career was always a nice way to hear how management actually works, kind of reminded me that I should not be taking this course for granted.
ReplyDeleteThe power of vision is I will always remember. Maybe it was the corny video, or the catchy saying, but either way it is very powerful. It is oversimplified but it still very inspiring. It makes you want to set goals and achieve them. You realize that setting goals can make a difference, maybe even change the world.
